We are a Registered Building Company that is particularly passionate about securing roofs to buildings. We install wind region appropriate tie-down mechanisms to light weight clad roofs across Western Australia. We aim to mitigate risk associated with roof failure and strengthen the buildings structural integrity.
Roof Tie-Downs WA are specialists in the retrospective installation of holding down mechanisms and install as per AS1684.2 or to an engineered performance solution. We offer Building Compliance Documentation with engineer-certification upon completion of installation.
We are always looking at the ocean - mostly hoping to be in it – but also watching for severe weather events. It is these rare, ferocious and potentially damaging wind events, that drive the necessity for roof tie-downs. The NCC-BCA (National Construction Code – Building Codes of Australia) periodically update minimum requirements (Australian Standards) that every building must comply with in order to maintain structural performance.

Tile to Tin Conversion
Changing from heavy to light weight roof cladding requires tie-down mechanisms. We can install tie-downs prior to re-roof at a reduced unit price. Builders or engineers compliance report received post install.

Major Structural Defects
Structural defects are areas that may compromise the structural performance of a building. We are qualified to assess and remediate raised defective items. We remediate to relevant Australian standards or to an engineered performance solution.

Engineer Certification
Our Engineer Certified Compliance Report includes structural certification and basis of certification calculations chart. Our clients receive this report post-remediation to satisfy insurance requirements.

Supply and Install
From initial assessment we determine requirements to meet minimum compliance. We charge per unit installed. Sometimes there have been tie down attempts, we acknowledge this and remediate if necessary.
